Membership of the Co. WBKA, gives members access to regular hive openings at the Co. WBKA apiary. Queen rearing workshops are held during the active season. Co. WBKA is affiliated to the IRISH BEEKEEPERS’ ASSOCIATION CLG with members having access to regular webinars, quarterly digital newsletters letters etc. Several thousand bare rooted, bee friendly tree saplings are given out around the country to members free of charge for planting in early spring. These trees support honey bees and pollinating insects and we hope will be enjoyed by generations to come. Members also participate at local level, visiting schools, attending at Festivals and providing demonstrations and honey tasting events around the county. We also assist with swarm removals.
