Well done to all the parents from all three schools (Colaiste Chathail Naofa, St Mary’s Primary School & St Josephs Primary School) that took part and completed the Get Ireland On-line Internet Security Course. The course was organized by Margaret Curran (HSCL) and Janet Dunphy (HSCL) and was facilitated by Fiona O Brien. It ran for three mornings a week for 2 hour sessions in St Mary’s Primary School Computer Room. This course was aimed at beginners and a wide range of topics were covered-how to add parental controls, how to limit the amount of time children can spend on the computer, viewing internet history, blocking certain websites, social media, creating and sending email and online shopping. Another course has been arranged for Wednesday the 12th of December, Thursday the 13th of December and Wednesday the 19th of December from 9.15-11.15 in St. Mary’s Primary School places are available so contact the schools HSCL to book a place on the course.
