Career Guidance
At Dungarvan College, we offer a comprehensive guidance service to students from 1st to 6th year and also to post-leaving certificate students including Career/Vocational Counselling and Educational Counselling.
Talks from guest speakers and opportunities for college visits are made available to students. Our Career Guidance Teacher, Ms. Helen Hogan will also meet with students on an individual basis to provide support in areas such as careers research and college application.
Our Careers Library is also available to students wishing to research possible career paths.
Ms. Hogan provides support to students in the area of subject selection as early as the pupil's first year in our school to ensure that, on completion of the Leaving Certificate Programme or their chosen post-leaving certificate course, the education path selected by each student offers them a wide range of third level and career opportunities.
