Approaches to Early Childhood Education - Montessori & Aistear 5N1763

Level: Beginners - Learners should have a minimum level 5 in Childcare

Description: This module aims to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence in Dr. Maria Montessori’s approach to education in the early years blended with the National Curriculum Framework, Aistear.

Course Content:

-Develop an awareness of Dr. Maria Montessori approach & philosophies to education for children aged 3-6 years.
-Explore the core concepts with Montessori’s educational method.
-Become familiar with Montessori’s curriculum materials.
-Become familiar with Aistear, the National Curriculum Framework and explore its links to the Montessori approach to Early Year’s care and education.
