Course Description
Learners are offered a practical and theoretical introduction to a career in nursing. Learners complete work placement in a clinical/ward environment. Training is completed using simulation equipment to help learners understand how to care for patients. The programme gives learners a realistic insight into what the world of nursing entails and enhances learner's opportunities to get a place on a third-level college course. Many higher education colleges have reserved places on their courses for graduates of QQI Nursing Studies.

Erasmus
Every year a number of learners have the opportunity to travel to another European country for three weeks fully funded work experience. The students attend work in their vocational area.
