Dungarvan and An Rinn SCP works with 4 DEIS Schools in the area. It is one of 124 programmes nationally.
The programme is funded by the TUSLA, The Child and Family Agency to support attendance, participation and retention of children and young people in education.
The programme works with children and young people aged 4 – 18years from the time they enter the education system until they reach Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
We deliver programmes before, during, after and out of school to complement the existing range of support and resources already available to schools and the student population.
Our programme operates with one full-time coordinator, two part-time project workers and a team of sessional part time project staff. This team structure allows us to identify the needs of pupils appropriately and design responses to the needs of the students on an individual and group basis.
Working in line with the national Children’s First Guidelines, Better Outcomes Brighter Opportunities, GDPR Legislation and under the management of the Local Management Committee; Dungarvan and An Rinn SCP will only work with students on a voluntary participation basis and with informed parental consent.
